MOUNDS THEATRE/PORTAGE FOR YOUTH SUMMER CAMP 2010 DETAILS

Mounds Theatre - Home of the Portage for Youth - invites you to join in the summer fun.

Location - Mounds Theatre, 1029 Hudson Road, Saint Paul, MN 55106
Ages - 8 to 12
Fee - FREE

Program Dates:  June 21 to July 30 - Six weeks
Program Times:  10:30 - 12:30 dance / Lunch - 12:30 -1:00 / Theatre - 1:00-3:00

Summer Camp at the Mounds Theatre will consist of two classes - Theatre and Dance.

Dance Class - program description - Students gain a basic understanding of creative movement.  Students will learn to create performance pieces that reflect their personal expression and incorporate physical movements, increasing flexibility.

Theatre Class - Program Description - Students will study acting, singing, movement and set design.  Students will also read from scripts to build literacy skills and gain self confidence to perform and speak in front of groups and individuals.

Transportation and lunches are the participants responsibility.  All summer camp students are asked to bring a bag lunch/drink/snack.

Register for one week, or as many as you wish. Portage Theatre camp is free to all participants. Youth registering, must be between the ages of 8 – 12. Lunch and transportation is not provided by the Mounds Theatre/Portage for Youth, all summer camp students are asked to bring a bag lunch/drink/snack. * denotes required fields.
